Visiting Us

Visitors

During the summer we often have people who work on the farm or building in exchange for board and lodging. They are frequently foreign students wishing to improve their English, some have become long-term friends of the community.

Such visitors we call Wwoofers and volunteers and are asked to come for up to a two week initial period.

Members also have private guests from time to time. Such private guests are asked to visit for no more than two weeks if they take up a community guest room. The community guest rooms are often fully booked especially during the summer.

All visitors of any kind must have a "sponsor", who is responsible for looking after them and showing them how we operate. Visitors are advised to bring warm clothes in winter, plus, if possible, wellies, hot water bottle and a torch. Bedding is supplied.
